Dr. Kristin Lusian
With over 15 years of experience as a Family Physician, I know great care starts with building trusting relationships with patients. I take a whole-person approach to health, bridging the gap between conventional clinical care and evidence-backed complementary medicine. I empower patients to make healthy choices so they can live life to the fullest . My goal is for you to feel heard, respected, and supported — with care that is thoughtful, attentive, and smart.

After growing up in the Twin Cities, I fell in love with Duluth and Lake Superior while attending The College of St. Scholastica. It was there that a professor first inspired me to explore Osteopathic Medicine — a philosophy of care that sees the whole person, not just a diagnosis.
After earning my Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, I attended medical school in Des Moines, Iowa, and later completed my Family Medicine Residency with the University of Minnesota right here in Duluth. I went on to practice full-spectrum rural primary care with Essentia Health in Ashland, Wisconsin, where my practice focused on obstetrics, newborn care and women’s health. I joined a wonderful and hardworking group in West Duluth from 2015-2024.
I was inspired by a patient around the time of the pandemic to look into Direct Primary Care. After much thought and exploration, I began building something new — a Direct Primary Care practice focused on restoring time, trust, and connection in medicine.
And now, in 2026, I’m proud to bring healthcare back to what it was always meant to be.
Outside of medicine, you’ll find me running on the trails of Duluth, cross-country skiing in the winter, tending a garden in the summer, baking sourdough, and spending time with my family.
