Dr. Kristin Lusian
As an experienced Family Physician, I believe great care starts with truly knowing my patients. I practice with openness, curiosity, and a strong foundation in evidence-based medicine. My goal is for you to feel heard, respected, and supported — with care that is thoughtful, attentive, and compassionate.

After growing up in the Twin Cities, I fell in love with Duluth and Lake Superior while attending The College of St. Scholastica. It was there that a professor first inspired me to explore Osteopathic Medicine — a philosophy of care that sees the whole person, not just a diagnosis.
After earning my Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, I attended medical school in Des Moines, Iowa, and later completed my Family Medicine Residency with the University of Minnesota right here in Duluth. I went on to practice full-spectrum rural primary care with Essentia Health in Ashland, Wisconsin, before returning to Duluth in 2015 to serve patients at the West Duluth Clinic.
In 2024, I began building something new — a Direct Primary Care practice focused on restoring time, trust, and connection in medicine.
And now, in 2026, I’m proud to bring healthcare back to what it was always meant to be.
Outside of medicine, you’ll find me running along the Lakewalk, cross-country skiing in the winter, tending a garden in the summer, baking sourdough, or spending time with my family.
